For the past 15 years, Alec Doyle has served as executive director of the Colonial Theatre Group, Inc., in Keene, NH. Under his tenure, he has overseen changes in programming and more diversity in the Keene, NH event offerings, as well as unique educational opportunities for residents of all ages.
The Opera-tunity Outreach Program is a unique, first-of-its-kind program the Colonial Theatre Group offers in partnership with Met Live in HD, aimed at reaching younger audiences and cultivating their interest in opera. The program is open to students ranging from 5th grade to high school, who will get the opportunity to not only see Metropolitan Opera programming live but also have the chance to learn from trained instructors about the intricacies of the art form by way of specially designed curriculum for the project. The theatre is also partnering with nearby Keene State College to offer special performance opportunities through the initiative.
